About the studio
Independent, family-run, and just off the Ascot high street.
Jacqueline Interiors is an independent curtain, blind and soft furnishings studio at Bridge House Courtyard on Brockenhurst Road in Ascot. It has been a registered company since 2013 and has more than thirty years of making behind it, and it is still run the way small studios of this kind should be: by the people whose name is over the door.
What we have that a website cannot reproduce is the sample library — shelves of fabric, wallpaper and textile books that we describe, without much fear of contradiction, as one of the largest collections of its kind in the South of England. It is not there to look impressive. It is there so that a scheme can be built on a table, under real light, with the curtain fabric, the trimming, the upholstery cloth and the wallpaper all next to each other rather than ordered from four different places over four months.
Everything after that stage is ours as well. We measure in your home, because a bay that looks square almost never is and a floor that looks level rarely is either. We make to those measurements. And we fit and dress the finished curtains ourselves, tying the drops into their folds and taking the packaging away with us — which is why one of our reviewers noticed that the curtains were “fitted without any mess”, and why that phrase matters more to us than it might sound.
Reviewers tend to name Lyn, and several of them mention her daughter. That is simply what a family-run studio looks like from the customer's side of the counter: the person who helps you choose the fabric is the person who knows your order. It is also, we think, why so many of the reviews turn out on a second reading to be somebody's second or third set of curtains.

Cloth before catalogue
The first conversation happens with the books open on the table. You handle the fabric, take it to the window and take it home — nobody is choosing curtains off a screen in this studio.
Honest about the fabric
If a loose weave will not survive full afternoon sun, or a huge repeat will never be seen properly on a short drop, we will say so before you order rather than after it arrives.
Measured at the window
Pole height and width decided first, bay angles taken on site, floor level checked, radiators and sills allowed for. Sizes taken off a plan show themselves at the corners.
The lining does the work
We will happily talk you into interlining a modest fabric rather than leaving an expensive one plain. It is the single most effective upgrade in soft furnishings.
Fitted and dressed
We hang the curtains, tie them into their folds so the pleats set, level the blinds, test the motors — and leave with the packaging and the dust sheets.

The showroom
Worth the trip to Brockenhurst Road.
It is a working retail studio rather than a display: the books come off the shelf, the fabrics come out onto the table, and you can hold a heavy interlined velvet against a loose-woven linen and see instantly why one of them will hang the way you are imagining and the other will not. Trimmings, wallpapers and upholstery cloths are all in the same room, which is the only sensible way to choose them.
Unit 3, Bridge House Courtyard, 18 Brockenhurst Road, Ascot, Berkshire SL5 9DL. We are open Monday to Friday and walk-ins are welcome — though if you would like someone's full attention with the books out, it is worth ringing first. Saturday appointments can be arranged, but only by pre-booking.

The showroom is on Brockenhurst Road in Ascot, which puts us within easy reach of Sunningdale, Sunninghill, Virginia Water, Windsor, Bracknell, Windlesham and Bagshot. Most of our measuring and fitting happens across Berkshire and Surrey, and we are happy to look at something a little further out — just ask when you ring.
